DJ Leep (Pieter Lepelaars) started his career als a discjockey in november 2001. Before his dj career he had a lot of interest for music. He played drums and manifold for a few years and studied music lessons. Together with some friends he had a band, but finally that was more for fun than the repetitions it selves.
When he started his dj career he bought only hardstyle vinyls. But since 2003 he has broaden his horizon and also plays groove, electro, techtrance and techno. With his alias Le Poix he plays groove and electro, Leep is his name for techtrance and techno. At request he will play old hardstyle vinyls, like at Euphoria in the 013. These early hardstyle sets are very unique because the music Leep likes to play is from the years 1999 until 2002. In that year he stopped buying the harder styles and started focussing on 'softer' music.
His first gig was in august 2002 at Hofpop in Bergeyk. The reactions on his gig were a big motivation for him continuing his dj activities. First he was known in the region, by his gigs at the Feestfabriek in Bergeyk and at parties of Double-You Events. Nowadays he is known from his residency at Euphoria, and gigs at big festivals like Q-Base, DefQon, Decibel and so on.
He is also working on his Le Poix alias. In the studio he is creating new beats together with Cursed P (Willem van der Ploeg) and the hope to release some shit soon. Also the gigs as Le Poix are going really well. Once a month he plays in Ditisit, Valkenswaard and he is being supported by Reboot for his minimal house sound.
In September he started to study IEMES, International Event, Music & Entertainment Studies. He already achieved his propedeuse. Still two more years to go...
